Why we started Marketing Vidya

As marketing professionals who were working in some of the best marketing organizations in the world, we used to get frantic calls from CEOs and Marketing and Sales Heads of companies asking for advice and encouragement at a personal level. We realized there was a pattern. Most of these technology companies were started by techies. They either pick up and fresh idea and start a company or they familiarize themselves with their client’s idea or technology while working on their projects, jump out and start a company. They are bestowed with the ‘beginners luck’ and make a few breakthroughs. Company sustains through personal connections, references from friends, acquaintances and friendly client references. Things go rosy for couple of years.

Then the challenges start. Couple of marketing boys and girls sit and do ‘spray and pray’ with no direction, goals, motivation or productivity. Pipeline looks empty and company struggles from payroll to payroll. The reason- the leaders were not having much training in Marketing while they were superb at technology and service delivery. They were mostly techies who turned into running businesses. In an increasingly complex world, they lacked the know how to make business grow by fitment of their product or service to the markets, motivated marketing teams, clear messaging and consistent marketing activities.

This was the reason why Marketing Vidya was born. To help entrepreneurs and leaders of companies derive growth through marketing. Working with them to think for the markets, making them understand key marketing fundamental such as market size, differentiators and competition. crystallizing their value propositions, energizing their marketing team and making the whole marketing team a strategic tool for the CEOs.

We started in January 2015 working with a few technology firms adding some strength to their pipelines. There are a few others where we advised to rethink their brand before getting into marketing. Our principal philosophy is ‘ if it ain’t revenue generating, it ain’t marketing’.

We are keen to listen to your story and challenges. Please do drop a line and we will call you back.

Saluting your courage of being an entrepreneur and leader in your own sphere of activity.

Offering our helping hands to you.

Warm Regards
